The Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with buying, selling, and merchandising. This role helps create a friendly and welcoming store environment for our customers and ensures merchandise is organized, clean, and attractively displayed.

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with buying, selling, and merchandising. This role helps create a friendly and welcoming store environment for our customers and ensures merchandise is organized, clean, and attractively displayed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service
- Assist customers in finding children’s clothing, shoes, toys, equipment and accessories
- Process purchases quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Explain store policies regarding buying, selling and store credit
- Evaluate incoming items for resale according to store standards
- Sort, tag, and prepare accepted merchandise for the sales floor
- Maintain organized racks, shelves and displays
- Keep the store clean, safe, and well-presented
- Restock merchandise and rotate seasonal inventory
- Answer customer questions in person or by phone
- Support promotions, sales events, and seasonal floor changes
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Attention to detail when evaluating and organizing merchandise
- Ability to lift to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
